The Steering Committee - What is it?
The Steering Committee will be made up of individuals from within the Canadian portion of the Columbia River Basin. The main task of the Steering Committee is to oversee development of the Columbia Basin Watershed Network and support groups interested in watershed stewardship in the region.
The Watershed Network can support a range of activities including monitoring, research, watershed planning, stewardship, communications, education and funding related to water quality and quantity. The Steering Committee will give direction and set policy regarding information sharing and learning among network participants, recommend tools and formal training opportunities, and seek ways to increase collaboration among groups with similar interests.
